The idea would lightly tap our heads like the water from a broken shower.

Vince would visit from out east every couple of months.  Ross would continue pushing himself through the night shift of a mind-numbing job sending out packages for an international mail carrier.  And eat.

Whether at a bar, friends apartment, in transit, or waking up in a random gutter, we would say our hellos, cast our aspersions at one another, and start breaking down sports.

Ross would garble something close to, “Dude, we should start a podcast,” in his low gutteral voice that sounded like rocks in a garbage disposal.

“You know what, we should start a website.” Vince would say, clearly, and understandably looking for someone, anyone else to talk to.

Drip, drip, drip.  After every spectacular round of the Bears circus, a month or ten of uninspired Cubs ball, or a tease from an up-and-coming Bulls team, these tri-yearly occurrences came to a sudden head after Vince earned his masters from Seton Hall and moved back to Chicago.  The floodgates had opened.

So why start another sports site?

Well for one we don’t treat everything as if it were a Game 7.  We enjoy breaking down sports from a fan’s perspective while still managing to provide objective, constructive insight on both on-the-field and off-the-field happenings.  Without simply repeating what everybody else is saying.  Without the “noise” of nonsense and hyperbole.

Welcome to The PUP List.  All opinions are welcome.

(Unless you’re from Green Bay)

(But if you are you probably can’t read this anyway)
